This baby here is $399. Ouch! And you still have to buy a game and another controller, that's another $80 or $90.
And this guy's price hasn't been released yet, but it's projected to be well above the $399 mark. My $10 an hour-ass can't afford something like that. I can barely make rent and buy groceries.Another reason is my PS2 and Gamecube have been sitting around collecting dust in my entertainment center. I've been playing computer games a lot lately. IMO they're just better in all aspects.
If you ask me, we're going to see a decline in video game popularity with these new consoles. People are going to shell out all this money and most of the games are going to be sequels from the old consoles. So you'll have these great looking graphics and awesome sound effects, but you'll be playing the same games over and over again. They'll just have different names.
Nintendo claims that they're next system will revolutionize the video game industry, but so far they haven't released too much info on their system other than a picture of the console and it's funky controller.

I'm pretty curious about what it's going to be like, but I'm not holding my breath. I think this will probably be Nintendo's last system because they just can't compete with the other two. They're only redeeming factor is their systems are usually cheaper than most other systems.
Anyway, that's my opinion.
